Volcano Boarding

This new adrenaline sport unique to Nicaragua allows boarders to slide down an active volcano on a wooden sled. Participants race at speeds of up to 50mph down the side of Cerro Negro Volcano near León. Those who are experienced snow boarders can use a wooden board to go downhill, much like snowboarding down a mountain but now on a volcanic slope! Due to its clear pathways and steep 41-degree angle Cerro Negro attracts thrill-seekers from all over the world.
Fresh Water Sport Fishing

Lake Nicaragua, San Juan River, the exotic Atlantic coast and Little Corn Island are the most interesting bodies of water where you can put into practice your fishing talents. Nicaragua offers world-class fresh water fishing, with a wide variety of species. San Juan River offers excellent Tarpon fishing, a species that can grow up to 2 meters (6.6 ft) in length and weigh up to 160 kilograms (350 lb), among others.
