Atlas attended TMLA 2014 in Salta, Argentina

Many of us who focus on Latin America look forward to TravelMart LatinAmerica (TMLA), the annual gathering of Central and South America buyers and sellers of travel products and services. The 3-day marathon of business meetings was held in Salta this year. Most of the Atlas members were there. It was a great opportunity to work side by side in the Atlas corridor and meet clients and make new connections. We held an after hours event which was intended to provide guests with an authentic local experience. Gabriel Barok and his team from Kallpa Tour Operator, Argentina’s Atlas member, planned and organized this memorable evening.

La Casona del Molino received us with wonderful local food, great wines and typical Salta folklore and dances. Everyone had the opportunity to learn to “repulgar” (seal) empanadas, dance and participate in a ceremony from the local indigenous culture to thank mother earth. The idea behind these events is sharing something typical and unique which relates to what Atlas is all about.
